Giordano Speaks With FOP Talks About Her Plan For Public Safety

Salisbury, MD: Julie Giordano for Wicomico County Executive spoke at the FOP Lodge 11 in Salisbury in front of its members, to talk about her plans and vision for public safety in Wicomico County.

Giordano touched on issues of Rank Structure Step, Pay Parity with the Maryland State Police, COLA, and Contract Negotiations between the Sheriff’s Department and The County. “We need transparency & communication when it comes to contract negotiations between the county & our police.” Said Giordano.

Giordano wants to create in her administration a LEO Liaison- in touch with all law enforcement in the county to better the lines of communication between the County’s Public Safety partner’s and the County.
“I will be a county executive that not only funds the police, but I will defend them as well. I will ensure your due process rights are defended at all times. You are our last line of defense. We lose you; we lose our county.” said Giordano.

Giordano took questions and listened to concerns from members about issues over Human Resource processes, streamlining Timecard Processes, and Retirement for officers in the County.
